ViM Studios: Dev Log 20-May-2022
Added 2022-05-20 15:11:34 +0000 UTCIt's been a frustrating week with both of us coincidentally experiencing hardware issues with our rendering PCs. Unfortunately, troubleshooting and coordinating repairs have eaten up a lot of time this week. Josselyn seems to have resolved her issues, but it remains to be seen if TheOmega has resolved his issues or not.
Because of the hardware issues, we both have a growing backlog of renders and animations that are posed and ready to render, but no "completed" renders or animations to add to our progress update for this week. Josselyn did get some writing done and TheOmega continued to work on coding for Chapter 2 of A Shot in the Dark.
Hopefully, next week both of our rendering PCs will be busy working through the rendering backlog. We'll likely use that time (and our non-rendering computers) to work on writing and coding, particularly for the V0.7 update for Prince of Suburbia.
Next week we'll also have poll results for Ashley's outfit, and a new poll for Catherine's alternate outfits.

I appreciate the kind words. I'm a web developer by trade and Josselyn Stark is no slouch when it comes to utilizing technology either. The situation seems to be remedied for both of us now. We use the cloud and have an in-home backup too so any issues should only ever be limited to hardware issues and/or interaction/usage of our software tools. -TheOmega

I work in IT for a location with a lot of computers that are four to seven years old, and sometimes it really feels like the sky is falling, even with cloud backups of data and other resources that can reduce losses when there are hardware failures. I hope that everything gets better! Thanks for writing the dev log :)
