I wanted to do a car-centric oldschool pinup for a while, just never sat down and did it. Now I know why. I spent way too long on this and challenged myself on multiple fronts and persevered well enough to where I generally like the end result. Learned a lot about perspective, dealing with chrome, dealing with glossy, reflective black paint and using a less-is-more approach to shading/lighting said paint.
Vortex's car is based on a mid-70's Lincoln Continental Mark IV coupe, though with some modifications (the spike bumper, kneecappers and shutter headlight covers are not standard). I wanted a big car with a loooong hood that looked classy yet mean, so this car fit the bill nicely.
