Okay, whew, I think I might have bitten off a bit more than I could chew this month. The hardware issues I was dealing with have slowed down my progress, in a month where I was shooting to do more than usual. It's not all bad news though, I promise!
Eros Academy:
The renders for this month are almost done. I've got 19 already done, with a estimated total of 24. I should finished at least three more tonight. So, as long as nothing goes badly wrong (like the graphics card exploding), I'll be finished with renders tomorrow (today, technically, since it's a little after midnight). What I'm adding this time in a fairly long scenario (themed as a parody of Tomb Raider), but there's not much on the programming side that isn't routine. I expect to finish the Eros update this weekend and have it out on Monday (or Tuesday morning at the latest, barring aforementioned major problems).
The size means this is actually around the size and quality of content you'd get in an Extended Scene reward month...so, yay for that!
The Elven Maid:
Unfortunately, loosing my notes in that hard drive failure right as I trying to settle exactly what was going to go into this part of the novel sucked. It sucked a lot. I wasn't lying when I said I know pretty much everything that was in them...but I've ended up having to reproduce some of it in order to figure out where and when to put what. Which means that I'm only just getting started on the actual writing tonight, after a major brainstorming session with the new notes yesterday. If I wasn't going to have to spend most of the weekend knocking out the Eros update, I'd feel confident I was going to hit the end-of-month deadline for the story despite the delay...but I do need to spend most of the weekend on the Eros update.
Net result, I have no idea if I'm going to make it by the end of the month with the new novel part. As always, if it overruns, I'll do my best to keep it to no more than a day or two. I'm still intending to do my best to make it actually on time, though. If it does spill over into next month...hopefully the oversized Eros update will make up for it a bit....
