So, as you can see, I'm still alive and working on things after my short business trip :-). I've been back since Monday night, but I pretty much had to spend all of Tuesday getting caught up on my regular day-job stuff. After that, though, I got back to work at various things.
One of those, obviously, was the next piece of Alice's art. I actually tried to get a little done on that at the hotel...but ended up scrapping the result yesterday. Not only were the lines a bit shakier as a result of working on them on a tiny laptop screen, but I simply couldn't get the pose I'd chosen to balance properly. Poor Alice looked like she was constantly about to fall over. As a result, I swapped to this pose yesterday and today, and I should have the refined lines for it done by the end of the day (they're done for the face and underlying body, but not the clothes which are on another layer, Hence why it looks a bit unfinished at the moment). Have I mentioned yet that I hate working with straight-on poses? Well, I really do, since too much of the final 'pop' for the 3D/depth portion has to rely on the shading with such poses. As such, I'm sure she also looks a little 'flat' to some of you :-). Don't worry, the shading process should fix that. Hopefully.
Another of the things I've been working on is this month's short. I did, in fact, manage to do most of the brainstorming I needed for it over the weekend and have the first 1,000 words down already. I should be adding another 1,000 to 1,500 to it tonight. I don't anticipate any issues getting it done well before the end of the month. Though Murphy's law is always a thing that shouldn't be dismissed casually.
The last bit for this little status update is just a reminder. $5+ patrons should see a poll going up sometime before Saturday, to vote on which Dungeon of Lewdity path gets focused on next month! So keep an eye open for that!
