General Update

With that reminder out of the way, I just wanted to drop a quick update. I'm back from my memorial-day trip and I did get a tiny bit done while I was gone. Just a little but more of the story update for this month. That puts me roughly 2,500 (out of the usual update size of 5-6k) words into Part 7 of The Elven Maid. Now that I'm back, I should be able to finish that up today and tomorrow, along with possibly doing the easier of the two remaining art pieces, depending on how much the writing fights me. I'm over the worst part of the writing though, I think. I stumbled a bit over an issue with perspective.
Previously, I'd always stuck to purely Galyn's perspective, but something that was set to happen (based on Patron voting) didn't directly involve him. Introducing a second perspective almost 40,000 words into a novel is bad form, so I had to puzzle out a realistic way to let the reader see what was going on without shifting perspective. I think I have it completely resolved, though there's a little bit more to write for that portion. Anyway, the rest of it shouldn't fight me too much, but I can never be 100% certain of that until I'm actually done.
Assuming I do get that done, I'll put the story out Thursday afternoon/evening (most likely) and then spend Thursday/Friday trying to wrap up the remaining art. What, very unfortunately, isn't likely to happen at this point is me tackling the inventory system replacement for The Sexy Cosplay Cafe. That sucks, since it's going to push that into June...and June is shaping up to be utterly brutal as is. The reasons for that are something I'll get into in detail when I go over the monthly goals for next month. For now, I'll just reassure you all that the DoL update for June will not be affected (with the usual disclaimer of 'unless something major and behold my control happens'). It's only likely to affect the probability of a Sexy Cosplay Cafe release next month (June having been the planned month to release that all along). I'm still aiming to try for it, but...well, best to wait and explain in detail with the Goals post.
