DoL Progress Report

Okay, with that reminder out of the way, I know I've been less chatty about how DoL is coming along this month. Part of that was the aforementioned poll (Seriously, go vote it in, please! Assuming you haven't. And thank you if you have!) and part was simply what I chose to get out of the way first. Namely, for the first 4 days of the month, I was hacking away at the Orc Village for the Physical Transformation Path. That's...really long even for one of the village rooms, to be honest. The village rooms DO usually take 3 days, which is why I was tackling it first, but this one was particularly bad. The main reason for that...? It's surprisingly difficult to find art involving two orcs -_-. Lots of art with Orcs x Elves or Orcs x Draneai, or Orcs x Anything Else, but not nearly as much Orc x Orc stuff. Go figure. The result was me needing to do a LOT more skin/hair recolors than I usually do, in order to make semi-relevant art into usable art. 

Anyway, that room was done on the 4th,  and I'm just about finished with the Fairy Tail parody room as well. As in, I'm only taking a short break to write this before wrapping it up and it will thus be done before I crash in a few hours. That's 2 of the 5 planned rooms taken care of, with one of them being what I expect to have been the single largest room for Build 7. Thanks to some brainstorming help from Dark Jade, I've got a couple ideas for the pet-play room that was still up in the air, as well, so that's good. 

In fact that's doubly good, since...the Bondage Path won the Focus Path Poll for this month, which is probably something I should have mentioned already...and it's something that's giving me headaches, too -_-. There were exactly three rooms left in the Bondage Path, before I have to start implementing endings (go see the breakdown in the recent DoL Development Roadmap post). Strictly speaking, that isn't a BAD thing, it's not like I don't have a decent idea what I'm doing for the endings. The headache comes from:

A) Needing to resolve some issues I noticed in my previously outlined plans for polling, regarding the endings. 

B) I was really hoping that the paths would remain fairly level in development. Instead, the Bondage Path is going to end while the other two still have multiple-months worth of builds remaining :-(. Given what that says about the relative popularity...I'm hoping I don't lose support when the Bondage Path isn't a votable option any more.  Of course, there is often bondage stuff in the other paths, so I don't think it's terribly likely (I hope). And, of course, the Focus Path popularity is really only indicated by the small selection of extra-awesome patrons who are $5+ patrons. So, for all I know, the other paths may actually be the more popular ones with the majority of my patrons. *shrug*

Anyway, long post put short, I've finished two rooms and I'm starting on a third. So far there's been minimal delays (which I always account for) and every expectation it should be finished right in the usual 15-16th time frame!
