Important! - Game Development Poll
Added 2019-11-01 23:45:57 +0000 UTCOkay, ladies and gents. This is the first and most important of the polls I'm going to be running this month. If you've been paying attention, AT ALL, you should be aware that I've recently put up 3 possible new game ideas. You should also, hopefully, be aware that there are two separate reasons for doing this. I'm not going to recap all of that, since I want this post not to ramble any more than necessary.
The long and short of THIS particular poll is determining what YOU THE PATRONS would most like to see out of me/this patreon in the future. The Dungeon of Lewdity is not involved in this poll at all. That game is rapidly nearing completion and will continue on its current update pattern until it's 100% done (Current Estimate being February or March of next year).
What is up for grabs in this poll, than? In short, the development time I spend on The Sexy Cosplay Cafe. Currently, I sink about 40 hours a month into each of two games, DoL and Cosplay Cafe. However, Cosplay Cafe has never proven itself very popular. Partly I assume this is because it's art is a bit underwhelming, partly as development is so slow, and partly for reasons I know not. Cosplay Cafe will NOT be outright canceled. However, subject to the results of this poll, it's development may be temporarily paused, while I work out a means to improve the artwork. The first point at which it would possibly resume would likely be after DoL ends.
In exchange for pausing Cosplay Cafe, most of the development time I currently spend on it (barring a few hours a month to work on the art issue), would be instead shifted to another game. Specifically, to one of these three games:
Chastity Quest - Chasing the Next Release
Obviously, you can find details on those games in the linked posts. Now, this is a straight All Patrons poll, no weighting (since not a single one of the $5+ people has ever actually taken advantage of the weighting I've offered). Here are the pros of each side in a nutshell:
Pros for Continuing Cosplay Cafe Development: This game already has a few updates worth of content. If you already like the game and really want to see where it goes, this is the option for you.
Pros for Pasuing Cosplay Cafe for Another Game: Each of the new games have been tailored to be more like DoL in content and focus. If you came here mostly for The Dungeon of Lewdity, these games might be more up your alley. Moreover, as I won't be generating hand-drawn art for any of them, Updates would be much faster than Cosplay Cafe's. Hopefully, they would be monthly updating, like DoL has been. At worst, they would update once every 2 months (whereas Cosplay cafe is every 3-4). This would also have the advantage of meaning that, when DoL ends, there would already be another game with significant content already underway.
That's it folks. A simple up/down on what you want to see. Straight continuation of Cosplay Cafe as I've been doing, or one of the new games that's more DoL - like and updates more rapidly. Obviously, if the new game option wins, I'll run a second poll about which ones you guys want to see most. This poll will run for One Week only, so get your votes in!
P.S. My personal preference, for anyone that cares, is actually one of the new games. I've hit a wall on the art for Cosplay Cafe and would like time to try and resolve the issue. However, the choice is ultimately yours.
