More good news, so far :-). I managed to wrap up the section section, the Inn, in just two days. That was about what I was hoping for, as it's a smaller section that the Blacksmith Shop. It essentially consists of one of the area's jobs, in this case the ability to practice the world's oldest profession. That job has six scenes, plus there's some minor interaction with the innkeeper (a place for a few hints inside the game, an idle chat with the owner, and a placeholder that will eventually be filled with the starting point for leaving Hope's Rest). I'm also intending to build in a couple of additional scenes that will trigger randomly if you drink too much...but they are lower priority so I haven't added them yet.
At any rate, I'll be moving on the last really important bit of the Frontier Town tonight. The interactions with Seesha the Rogue are roughly as involved as Urlang the Blacksmith or Jillian from the Magic Shop, so I'm expecting this to take roughly three days. At that point, I'll need to stop and do a boatload of testing. I haven't been able to test much so far, because of how interconnected all of it is. I'll also need to shoehorn in some critical bits like the Credits menu that I've been putting off and do at least a basic editing pass on all the text -_-. I'm hoping that the testing will go reasonably well and possibly leave me with enough time to squeeze in the last planned area for the Frontier Village. But I also still need to do the Story Reward for the month, so it's going to be a toss-up if that makes it into the build. Which was always planned to be the case, actually. The last area is someplace you have to find through gameplay and has less content than most of the others. Since it isn't as tightly interwoven with everything else, it was always the odd-man out that I could hold off on if I ran out of time. In some ways, it might even be better if I did so, but that's an explanation that I won't bother everyone with unless I can't work it in ;-p.
