General Update

Soooo, good news, bad news, more good news more bad news?

First, Good News! The Short Story for the month is effectively done, needing only an editing pass later today. It will be up tonight. Attached to that is the sorta-kinda-bad news that it's the single shortest I've ever released for this story. In fact, I actually drug out finalizing it because I was trying to figure out how to squeeze another scene in somewhere, to get it up to the 4,000 words that is supposed to be my minimum limit. It's only around 3,400, as is. This, however, ultimately wasn't fixable...because this was the Final Part for: The Dungeon of Lewdity: Origins of a Merchant Princess. That's right, it's actually FINISHED! With a total word count of just under 40,000 words. Wohoo, one of my stories is actually done.

Anyway, the fact of the matter was, that there just wasn't enough left of the story to drag out to the full 4-5k words I normally shoot for. Not without making it obvious that I was just padding the word count, rather than writing a good story, and I'll never sacrifice the quality of the story to do that >_<. So, I hope people aren't going to be too upset with it being a bit on the short side...maybe I'll release a teaser chapter for another DoL-based story early next month to help make up for it? Well, that will depend on what time I can pry free, I guess.

------

For the second set of good news/bad news, I'll cover the bad news first. Essentially, I lost a full day to dealing with the legal issue I mentioned earlier this month (A $6000+ hospital bill from 2018 that popped up out of nowhere). The bad news is that this means Chastity Quest Build 1 won't be out today. I'm fairly sure it will be out either later tomorrow (the first) or, at the latest, on the 2nd. However, the Good News in this is that this legal issue was one of the major issues that has been sucking up time that should have had to spend on Chastity Quest, and with any luck, the full day I put in of filling out forms, running down information, and making a couple of phone calls, should hopefully, have eliminated the issue entirely. I won't know for sure until it's all processed. But, if it did resolve it, not only will it not chew up more of my time, but it will also remove a major stressor that was making it harder for me to get work done even if I had the time. Meaning that March should be much smoother sailing...as long as nothing else happens (*knock on wood*)
