Various Things - Reminders - Poll Results - Chastity Quest Stuff

First! Another reminder! The poll for which game will follow-up The Dungeon of Lewdity is still ongoing! Voting between Haven's Port and The Dungeon of Lewdity: Dungeon Master Edition is super close! So make sure you get your votes in!

Now, that that very important reminder is out of the way...there's other poll stuff to talk about! That's not the only topic of this update, of course, but it's a good segue.

Specifically, I just ended the Futa Content poll, as it's both been running several weeks...and the results weren't getting any clearer. As you can see, if you go take a peek at the results, the poll was...frustratingly inconclusive? That's not to say it didn't get a VERY good response, so thanks for that, folks! It's just that...the two opposite ends of the scale TIED. And it was balanced on a see-saw like that for pretty much the entire duration of the poll. I admit, I really didn't see that coming. Which leaves me a bit uncertain what to do.

Right now, my conclusion is that, despite it getting the fewest votes, splitting the difference by going the middle route seems the logical thing to do? At the same time, that feels kinda like a cop-out, and risks NO ONE being happy, instead of everyone being happy, just for good measure. Long story short on that one...I'm currently chewing on the results and puzzling over what I can do to make the balance feel acceptable to everyone. I have a few ideas, such as possibly expanding on the amount of scene that Futa-Transformed Kiralia could have access to, but keeping the number of actual Major futa characters down to a dull roar. But, I'm not sure if that's the solution yet. In example, another idea would simply be to provide temp-transformations for more characters than just Kiralia. That would work particularly well in Hub 3 (The College of Allund) and could be another way to let people go either extreme. So...yeah. I've heard what everyone had to say and I'm thinking hard on it...

There are two other polls to mention, much more quickly. One is the month's Story Reward Poll, which I considered closing early...but I'll leave it for another day or two, I think. It looks like either the DoL: Origins or Transformation Estate will take it, this time.

And the last poll isn't a current one, but a future one. With the Futa poll now closed, sometime in the next few days I'll be putting up an additional Chastity Quest feedback poll, relating to lesbian/straight content quantities. I stuck to an even ration in Hope's Rest, splitting the major characters into 40/40/20 Male/Female/Futa, and trying to keep the Female/Female vs Male/Female ratio close to 50/50 (futa content excluded). That didn't continue in Build 2, on the Dawn's Rose, but that was mostly situational. What I'll be looking to get feedback on is if that split works for everyone, or if they'd like to see more lesbian or more heterosexual content. Given previous polls of all patrons for other projects...I wouldn't be surprised to see lesbian content being favored. You guys seem to really really like lesbian content, based on previous experience. But...you also routinely surprise me :-p. So, we'll see!

Moving on from the poll commentary. I wanted to bring up Chastity Quest's Build 3 in general terms. To be blunt...I have NO IDEA how big or small the build is going to be. I had some clue before I adjusted the way scenes worked, based on both patron and public feedback. I know what I want to get into this build. That being the first quest or two for each of the three Guilds in New Landing. But that's a pretty tall order, since it involves prepping the environments and creating the NPCs, as well as the actual scenes themselves. So, that's the GOAL, but...we'll see how much I can actually squeeze in? Particularly as I'll need to make at least one or two small jobs for people to generate gold. I may end up having to focus on one guild and several smaller areas, instead, in order to keep it playable. We'll see.

Either way, this build will be fairly instructive, I think, about how big each new chunk can be. I'll do my best to make that content size as large as possible, without burning myself out to the point that it will cause me to hate the universe and all the porn/hentai in it. That would be terrible...
