General Progress Report

First...let me introduce you to Captain Nyra! She's a new Major Character of Haven's Port, who will be involved with 'tiering up' to the next reputation level. Here she's seen in her 'relaxed' outfit, not in her proper Pirate's Attire...but I decided to show that as it shows off her ink better ;-). She'll also be the source of the first New Job related to the next tier, though I'm unsure how much content that job will have. Rendering is going well, but there are a certain number of base scenes I have to make for the tiering up process to work, so...not sure how much post-tiering content will make it into the Build.

On that note, rendering really is going fairly well. Because of the number of scenes I'm trying to work into this build, I'm honestly expecting it not to be out until around the 17-18th, but that's mostly a result of the slightly late start, rather than running into any trouble so far! Though I am, once again, cursing lazy asset-creators. I had to actually replace a few assets in this scene due to the idiot that designed it not making the set pieces very modular. I mean...who makes the pillows physically part of the bed object, when working on a 3d model? That's such dumb, since it means that the end-user can't move the pillows around -_-. I honestly wish it was possible to leave reviews for Daz3d products, both so I could read other people's impressions before I buy assets...and so I could warn other people of stupidity like that. Grr.

In other news, the reason that this is a General Progress Report, is that I wanted to update you all on the Story Reward for this month as well. I very rarely suffer writer's block. Not because I don't run into it but because, like most experienced writers, I've developed plenty of tricks to work around it when it happens. That said...I was suffering from it for several days earlier this month. To be blunt, I was just so utterly wiped out by events last month that I found myself unable to do much beyond setting up scenes to render and letting them go while I did some reading of my own, and slept a LOT. Thankfully, I seem to be getting over the brain-fog, and have gotten a decent number of words down today so far, with a solid chance I'll get a fair bit farther today.

End result? If I can build some momentum, I think I'll be able to knock out the story reward for this month (Which is the next part of Transformation Estate), within 2-3 more days. Which will be just in time for me to turn around and hammer out the code for Haven's Port Build 3...hopefully....
