January Short Story Reward 1 - Andrea of the Silver Key
Added 2021-01-21 11:52:53 +0000 UTCAlright! As I mentioned in my last post, I got supppppeeerrr writer's block Galactic Nomad. As a result, I went thumbing through my ideas for something else...and in doing so stumbled upon a story stub I started a LONG time ago. As in, I'm pretty sure it predates even The Dungeon of Lewdity, let alone Chastity Quest or Haven's Port. In point of fact, the couple of thousand words I'd written were done, if I recall correctly, shortly after I first stumbled into the existence of modern chastity-belts and the fun things that could be done with them. That, however, was also the reason the story was never completed. At the time, I just couldn't wrap my head around how to tell a satisfying POSITIVE story involving one. I don't enjoy the darker or more humiliation-oriented usages of chastity play, being rather strongly put off by them (as some of you may have long ago realized since my stories and games don't go that direction). Obviously, I've long since figured out how to handle it in story form, but I never went back to the story.
Of course, my writing style has also drifted from back then, so even the 2,000 or so words in the story stub had to be ripped apart and redone. Even so, it was an entertaining and somewhat satisfying little project. Though I did discover that I've apparently become bad at writing one-shots. This story could easily be expanded into a whole series. Ehhh, oh well. Not the worse habit to have developed, I suppose.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy: Andrea of the Silver Key. It's darn near 6,000 words, so I think I did good by it! And hopefully, it broke my writer's block, though the next thing I'll be working on is actually the $20 reward comic. As usual, the story is attached as a PDF!
