Our future plans & considerations!

Hey everyone!

We took a few days off to catch a breath - huge thanks to everyone who played version 0.8! We've noted all the feedback we could and wanted to share a bit about what’s next.

With 0.8, we tackled a lot of technical hurdles that aren’t super obvious. We updated the main character model and finally switched to a newer engine version - something we’d held off on for a while. UE5 brings its own issues (mostly with optimization), but we’ve got a solid handle on it, and things will only get better from here.

Every asset and bit of content is handmade by us, deliberately and one by one. The engine switch gave us more overall fidelity and access to more advanced dev technologies and systems. Ghost Frontier got a big visual boost, and now we’re shifting focus to smaller updates - more content, more polish, and dialing things back toward that creepier, grimdark vibe. The beloved horror elements will be back and even more present than before.

We plan to revisit the combat system, making it more visually appealing, impactful, and varied. Different monsters will be vulnerable to different damage types, requiring players to use appropriate attacks. We also plan to add specific grab attacks that will trigger corresponding adult sequences. The lantern can use different “charges.” In safe zones, Senna can craft these charges using ingredients found during expeditions. They can be either thrown as consumables or loaded into the lantern to increase damage and charge up the next attack of that damage type.

Cycles of the Ghost Frontier

The Ghost Frontier is a living place - it breathes, shifts, and fights back. Sometimes it releases clouds that blot out the sun, called the Breath of the Abyss. When that happens, the zone becomes far more dangerous. Monsters grow more aggressive. Best option during these cycles? Hide and wait it out.

This top layer acts as a safe zone where Senna can regroup, rest, and plan. Dark-adapted creatures sometimes wander up here only by mistake. From here, players will descend deeper into much more dangerous territory and sub-locations of the GF.

We’re also looking into voice acting and more cinematic dialogue - facial animations, visual storytelling, and overall immersion upgrades.

Customization

We’ve noticed growing interest in customization. Different hairstyles, body sliders, and skin tones have been requested for a while now. While we didn’t originally plan to include features like that, we understand how important it is for people to be able to shape Senna to their own taste.

New characters & expanded story

If you played the latest build, you might’ve met some of the new characters. Each comes with their own backstory, and Senna can build relationships with them based on your choices and playstyle. More quests are incoming.

Overall, you can expect smaller updates with quicker turnaround, themed adult content (like tentacle scenes and new monster types), and continued polish as we clean up the irritating stuff. A fixed version with updated cumming mechanics and fixed camera in adult mode is incoming!
