Shitty Internet + Illness means Lore Posts!

But I still wanted to update something because we have so many new people here, hello! I'm sorry I couldn't greet/pm all of u.
So instead I'm gonna post a bit of lore and why I'm trying to be very mindful about the characters' eyes in Bewitching Sinners.
In Quill's world they never invented eye-contacts nor do they have the Harry Potter equivalent of Polyjuice potion. Also Pure blood witches can change forms, but their eyes will always be a bit off due to a curse Kor placed on them ages ago so humans can detect them better.
Eyes are the window to the soul, or in this case, the species. Fairies have purplish hues, Sirens pinkish. Vamps are always reddish but in different intensities depending on how often they feed and what stages they are in blood madness. For Thane who rarely feeds, his is more brown than red. This is in contrast to Ms. Vilkov and the Vortec Empire Prince, Alexei. Their eyes also turn brighter when consuming blood.
Humans and werewolves have similar (boring) common human shades but werewolves are a bit more 'sparkly' than humans.
Tbh If Palmy introduced contacts to this world, they would be a rich man/woman.
