Pet Taboo

Although (currently) legal and some even flaunt their pets for all to see at a casual dinner party, most beastlings take insult when called a pet as it is implied that the other party deems you as lesser... without thought or rights and in need of an owner to even tend to their basic needs
Also here you can kinda see how the octopus mc's powers work. Basically whenever they touch items or people they can see glimpse of what they last experienced or events that cut a deep wound within the object/person -- depending on mc's own emotions.
Their powers are very obvious when used as their naturally black fingernails will turn darker and the ink will spread in a tentacle pattern.
Unlike the fox mc whose powers can be blocked as long as their animal ears are plugged, the octopus mc basically just need to touch directly with their skin
