He can be frustrating but I totally give him a pass because emotional "epiphanies" are coming at him at dizzying frequency. With that pose at the end of the episode, we know that Pierce is definitely not out of the picture yet, but at least the imminent danger of Lucifer losing Chloe to him is dealt with. The upcoming challenges Pierce represents are things that Lucifer is totally equipped to deal with. Can't wait for the next episode, a truly "feel good" one ... until it isn't...
