Confrontation
Added 2019-08-23 12:17:23 +0000 UTCThe whole idea of a comic still sounds really daunting to me... even a short comic. So I thought of this fun exercise that might be a good way to at least practice scenes or characters speaking. A kind of way to ease myself in to comic making. I also thought its a good way to get ideas that I wouldn't normally imagine.
So, what is this exercise?
- You go online and find a "random dialogue generator"
- draw your character saying the dialogue that is generated!
- It could be a couple characters in an image like this, or it could just be one character maybe speaking at the camera.
- try to imagine and capture the emotion behind the dialogue
When I got this dialogue, it made my mind start working at what kind of world these two characters might live in and what their personalities might be like. I had a lot of fun doing this and I think its something I want to continue.. I might even try constructing some sort of instagram challenge around this exercise... but I need to think of a way to make the challenge cohesive and simplified before I do.
