I do plan on coloring these ladies, but that's probably not something I'll get to today.

Yeah, you are exactly right! I do try and make quick motions to get the line down in one fast motion. That’s why there is so much drawing, undoing, and redrawing in the lineart process. I blocked in the white at the end just to prepare for coloring later on. That way I can lock the transparency and use clipping masks once I have a solid color blocked in the shape of the character.

Correct me if I’m wrong but for getting the the lines to be smooth, were you intentionally trying to get the lines the way you wanted them in one motion? Also, I noticed you blocking out the character with white in the end. What was the purpose for that?
