Added 2021-05-22 18:44:43 +0000 UTCNyx, Goddess of the Night. A shadowy figure, Nyx stood at or near the beginning of creation and mothered other deities such as Hypnos (Sleep) and Thanatos (Death), with Erebus (Darkness). Her appearances are sparse in surviving mythology, but reveal her as a figure of such exceptional power and beauty that she is feared by Zeus himself....
Yet another piece to satisfy my classical flowy, drapey fabric needs! lol Thanks so much for picking her in the most recent poll! She was super fun!
She gave me a bit of a challenge when it came to finishing her coloring and shading but I really love how the shapes in her hair came out!
I also included the "dropped blues" version that really makes the golds pop.... Again, I wasn't sure if I preferred the more saturated or the more gray and gold... There is something about the gray/gold version that feels very mysterious and "night" to me. But I love saturated colors too. Soooo.... I dunno! lol Let me know what you think!
