Hera, Queen of Olympus//{Mild NSFW warning} Rewards Here
Added 2021-11-24 20:41:26 +0000 UTCHera, Queen of the Gods and despite being known as the Goddess of Marriage, she was also known to be a jealous and vengeful Goddess. Even before her marriage with Zeus, she ruled over the heavens and Earth.
I felt that this Greek Goddess series wouldn't be complete without the Queen of the Olympus, so I had to go ahead and draw her for this month!
I'll admit, it can be hard to connect with this goddess. The mythology portrays her in a very bad light. She committed many atrocities. But in a way, the more I think about it and learn about how terrible Zeus himself was, the more I come to sympathize with her. It doesn't excuse her acts of vengeance, but I think it is pretty clear in the mythology that being married to Zeus was pretty awful. I imagine despite being queen, or maybe even because of being queen its possible she felt very trapped.
Anyhoo, I hope you like how she turned out!

Although she is a vengeful goddess, you managed to portray her in a laid back and peaceful way with all the blue and warm colors! She inspires respect that way!

Hera has always been a favourite of mine for that jealous side. Remember the hilarious prank she pulled on Heracles? So funny, ha ha.
