Pond Mermaid//{Rewards Here}

A little Slice of pond with a mermaid! It feels good to finish a mermaid artwork for mermay!
I haven't really done much isometric or 'slice' styles of artwork (I'm not even sure if that's exactly what you would call it) but I absolutely love looking at it! It is also a good way to practice doing a little bit of scenery with a character without commiting to full background!
Anyhoo, I hope you like this fun little mermaid!

More mermay themed art is coming this month!

It looks like the winning goddess for May is Damona: Geltic water goddess associated with rivers, hotsprings, and healing! I think I'm going to really want to lean into those hot-spring vibes! Sounds suuuper fun!! I don't know that she is really depicted specifically as a mermaid in historical artwork, but I still might give her a tail. We'll see how it goes!

Even when you have a plan for your artwork, I have found that it is still good to be flexible, and open to reworking something or even okay with scrapping an idea in favor of one that works better or more naturally. Okay, I'm tangenting a bit! I hope you guys have a really great week!

Just a reminder that I'll be away on a secret mission this weekend, so I there won't be a stream this week on twitch. BUT, when I get back next week, we'll have a fun mermay themed draw along tutorial stream! I'm super excited for it and hope to see you there!!
