Teatime Spell//Rewards Here

It looks like the witch's neighbor might be on the receiving end of some casual teatime spellcrafting!

This is a piece I have had as a WIP for a few weeks and finally got around to finishing it.  I always find this head angle so tricky to look right!  Almost profile, but not quite!  oof!  Its definitely one I need to practice more.  I'm not 100% satisfied with this one but I like the overall concept, and the colors and it is time to move on to some other artworks I have in progress!

It is super hard! I feel like I'm still figuring it out sometimes! Lighting and shading is one of those things where I am constantly trying to wrap my brain around! It is a really big topic!

Omigoodness! Thank you so much Lia!!

ChrissaBug

I’m literally so terrible at shading and adding dimension to characters. It’s so hard 😫

Beautiful! Aaaallll those detailings, her eyes especially...I got lost in looking at every bit! Nicely done!

I'll have to try that! Thanks!

I started painting the smoke with the walter wet brush but then I decided to smudge it around with the smooth watercolor brush to soften it.

ChrissaBug

I've always struggled with smoke, do you use a specific brush for it?

Daystar Illustration

thank you Demi! Wispy smoke is always so fun!!

ChrissaBug

I love the bits of wispy smoke coming from the tea and spell book! I feel like you did really well with the head angle too
