As I mentioned, I had an idea to do this piece on Christmas eve and then rushed a bit to get it complete. For this one I tried to lean in again to the dark thin lineart and less rendering and shading. It is a style that I have really been enjoying lately especially when mixed with a little bit of hatching, like what I added to the Yule Goat. It makes the illustrations feel like they belong in some sort of storybook to me.
I hope you all had a very cozy Holiday! I have had a strangely large amount of last-minute commercial client stuff come in. So I'm trying to balance that while also taking some actual time off. It is a tough balance as usual, but I think it is going okay! haha
