✨🌙New Art//Eros and Psyche
Added 2023-01-04 11:51:30 +0000 UTCEvery night, as the moon rose high in the sky, Psyche's mysterious husband would visit her in the dark. With tender kisses and gentle whispers, he would awaken her from sleep and she would feel herself falling more and more in love with him. The life they shared together was peaceful and happy.
Psyche couldn't imagine that her sister's suspicions could be true - that her husband might be a monster. She refused to believe it, for his love for her was so strong and pure.
And yet, even with the love and happiness they shared, the tickle of curiosity in the back of her mind lingered. If he wasn't a monster, as she suspected, surely there wouldn't be any harm in taking an innocent peek.
Here is another mythological couple! The story of Eros and Psyche might be one of the most romantic stories in Greek mythology and maybe the only one with an actual happy ending.
There are 2 color variations: A dark cool version, and a little more pastel warm version. Do you have one that you prefer?? Let me know!!

It has instantly become one of my favorite artwork of yours. I probably prefer the darker version, because it emphasizes the lights & shadows, which are the best aspect of it imo. Hope it makes it to a print sometime, i would love to have this at home🥹

Such a beautiful artwork <3 (Oh, and both versions are wonderful but I think the darker one is my favourite - really adds the drama that this whole story carried with it :) )

But since he visits her in the night, I suppose the first one is a bit more logical/accurate- unless they have some intimate candlelight maybe.. 👀 I love the piece! 😊
