Mochi Cuddles // Artwork
Added 2023-01-13 15:09:53 +0000 UTCYesterday I had to say goodbye to Mochi. It was totally unexpected and I'm truly crushed and in the middle of grieving. In looking at some of my past artwork, I found this piece that was based entirely off of Mochi and thought it would be good to post it with it's rewards again, as it now holds even more bittersweet meaning. I'm also including the selfie photo of Mochi and I that this piece is based off of.
Mochi loved cuddles more than anything and always wanted to be as close as possible to your face. This photo and artwork was capturing one of the many moments where he settled himself right up against my face for his cuddle time. He made a few appearances on our livestreams as well demanding to be held and cuddled. He is so missed.
Tonight I am going to try and sit down to work a bit on the upcoming tutorial but I may be a little slower. My grieving brain is a lot slower at processing and focusing then normal. Thanks for your patience!
Our print for January also features Mochi as the lapcat. When the box of prints came in the mail today I opened them up and couldn't help but break down a bit. It is very bitter sweet to be sending them out this month, but I want to thank you guys for voting for that print to be the print of the month. They hold so much more significance now and I'm glad I have them to send out so soon after his passing.

We lost Tiger boy last month and it took until yesterday for me to feel like doing art again. So do not push yourself too hard. I totally understand and if you need to take some time and do nothing, then do it.
