✨New Art//Rose Haze
Added 2023-03-07 19:27:36 +0000 UTCHi lovelies! Here is a piece I've been sitting on for probably over 6 months, maybe even a year! It is one where I really really liked the sketch, but every time I tried to either lineart or render it, I just didn't like it as much and would start over.
SO I decided to at least release a rough version of it to you guys and call it done and also share the sketch and lineart with you since I really like those versions too.
Anyhoo, maybe it's a little different then normal, but I still like it.
If any of you are interested, you can feel free to take the lineart and color it the way you'd like. I'd be interested to see your different interpretations, especially since I ended up not using the lineart myself. The transparent lineart is attached, as usual, with the rewards at the bottom of the post for you.

Ooh, that's a good description of the feeling! I love that! And yeah, the lineart is fine but it just doesn't have the same feeling!

2023-03-07 20:10:17 +0000 UTCOoo, and I see what you mean about linework not quite being what works for it. Something about this does say "sketch only". The haze and shades of colouring, the air of "I may be a flower but I've thorns...", to me at least. Lovely, nicely done!

I didn't use lineart for one and the painting style makes the edges a lot softer and just fade/bleed away rather then having a sharp edge. It is also mainly uses a limited 2-color scheme (pinks and grayish-teal). Those are probably the main differences that stand out to me.
