Hello my lovelies!  Here is the time-lapse speedpaint🖌️ with music for : Máni 

A Little About the Process:

I was sitting on this piece for a couple months because I felt like it didn't start out quite where I wanted it to be with the sketch and the lineart but I LOVED the idea and the general pose.  So when I finally revisited it to finish, I had to take some time to rework some of the features and also figure out some anatomy that I wasn't as familiar with.  

As you guys know, I mostly draw women and drawing muscular guys is a bit new to me.  I can't tell you how long I sat trying to understand how in the world to draw the pecks when the arms are up like they are in this pose!  They do change shape a bit depending on where the arms are posed!  Working on this piece definitely showed me that I need to practice drawing more guys (specifically with their shirts off!  LOL)

Anyway, I finally got it worked out and was able to move on to more painting.   

For his color scheme, especially in his outfit, I started out with all cool colors, because that reflects the night time and the moon to me, but then I decided he need a little accent of a warm color to balance it out, so that's where I added just a touch of yellow to his outfit design.  Yellow still fits well enough with the moon, I suppose!

Anyhoo!  I hope ya'll like how he turned out!  Happy watching my dears!

For the print next month, if he happens to win the vote, I am thinking of doing a bonus print of Sol so that you guys will get the sun and moon gods as a duo together.  Maybe I'll put them both together in the vote as an option.  Super curious to see what prints will eventually win this month once the vote is up.  It's always so hard to choose.  But I'm getting ahead of myself!
