A little about the Process...
This piece was created for the color harmony tutorial, so in the process you'll see some of the color options as I go through trying different combos!
The way I did the nsfw vs the sfw versions of this piece was a little different than usual as well. Typically when I create an NSFW version, I draw and paint that version FIRST. Then I just draw and paint the outfit over top. Almost like those paper-dolls where you could switch out the outfits! Haha!
But since I was using this piece for the color harmony tutorial, I needed to do the SFW lineart first and then color it in for the tutorial. So you'll see in this process that I definitely start out working on the SFW version when I get to color and then, I later work on the NSFW version before switching BACK to finish the clothed version. Not a super linear process for this one, I suppose!!
Anyhoo, I hope you guys enjoy this relaxing process video. It was certainly a fun piece to work on. I've really been enjoying trying more and more of these art nouveau inspired frames for the backgrounds. I feel like I have the basics of them down at this point, so for future pieces I want to try pushing their design and complexity some how. We'll see!!

It's definitely my favorite part of the process to do! I used to have the same issue, where the energy would be lost in my lineart and I really hated it. It really helped to find a brush that was textured and rough for the lineart. It helped me let go of making the lineart too perfect and clean, I think, so that I could keep the energy of the sketch a bit!
