🖋️TUTORIAL//How to Draw BEAUTIFUL LINEART ✨new and updated!✨

Time for a new and updated LINEART tutorial! My favorite process!

In this tutorial I go over my line art process, important principles to know about making nice lineart, some techniques, my brush and canvas size!

This tutorial is in Clip Studio Paint but most things in this tutorial can be applied to other software or even traditional!  I also mention my favorite Procreate brushes for you procreate users.

Shoutout to the lovely J.M. Kearl for letting me use this commissioned artwork of her characters from Bow Before the Elf Queen as the demo for this tutorial!!

I’m so glad you like it! The best place to request topics is to comment on the current tutorial poll!

You are correct! The reason I do the card size canvas and the higher dpi is because that is my most common print size, so it is more convenient for me. If your standard print size is larger, you could go with a larger canvas and lower dpi

Hey Chrissa! I got a question after watching part of the tutorial. What difference does it make to have higher DPI on a lower resolution canvas or the other way around? If you choose a smaller sized canvas with high DPI, how would that make a difference compared to a bigger canvas with lower DPI? Wouldn’t it cancel each other out? And what would make you decide on one thing or the other? Hopefully I made my confusion clear haha ❤️

I love this tutorial, thank you! Currently working through it for a second time. Is there a way to request tutorial topics?
