Added 2024-05-17 08:45:51 +0000 UTCDo you ever feel stuck in the rut of the dreaded "same face syndrome"? I do too sometimes! In this tutorial, I show you how breaking out of same-face-syndrome and drawing more unique character faces is a lot easier than it seems! It's all about SHAPE.
We go over the main features that make up a unique face and ways that you can vary their shapes. We also touch on how once you know the face proportion rules, you can break those rules to make unique faces, and then finally I show you how you can adjust a character's face that you've already drawn in order to break out of the automatic same face that you might have drawn.
This is a fun topic and I hope it gives you some good ideas on how to vary up your characters and gives you some confidence! Because it really is a lot easier than it seems!
