You find yourself adrift in a vast sea of inky blackness, the celestial bodies above casting a luminous reflection upon the water's surface. The temperature of the water is perfectly attuned to the needs of your body, easing every inch of your being into a state of deep, ethereal relaxation.
As you delve inward, you focus your attention upon the troubling emotion that has been haunting your spirit In the midst of this dark and dangerous inner world, a single flower begins to take root and grow from the location where the emotion has made its home. With each passing moment, the bloom flourishes, radiating an unearthly and mystical aura that fills the surrounding void.
As the flower reaches its full potential, it begins to slowly drift away from you, descending down into the depths of the watery abyss below. With each passing moment, you feel the weight of that troubling emotion lift, its heavy burden sinking down and away from you, absorbed by the infinite darkness.
As you open your eyes, you realize that you are now freed from the oppressive weight of that emotion, released from the clutches of its grasp. You feel lighter, unburdened.
🌺This meditation is specifically about releasing pain, suffering, and emotions. I tried out this meditation for the first time when I was in the midst of dealing with a small but painful hurt from something someone had said to me 💔(funnily enough, I can't even remember what it was now). And I found this meditation to be incredibly helpful for not only releasing the emotion, but also gaining some insight into why I had such a strong emotional reaction to what had happened. Plus I just love the visualization from an aesthetic perspective.🌺
If you're interested, I condensed the meditation, but I originally heard it on a podcast. Here's the episode! 🎧 I'm not affiliated with the podcast, but I found the episode helpful and wanted to share.. Listen Here
