Character design

Up until now, I've used accurate colors for their hair/fur
Sophia -> Blonde tigers are a thing
Fen/Aura -> Dogs, err... wolves are gray/black/white/blueish most of the time
Maya -> Cats come in all colors
Royal family -> Well, tigers are orange
Ari -> Melanistic jaguar

I haven't decided yet on the new girl, but I'll use a fox as an example.
Black, white, silver, red, orange are all a thing.
In the anime universe, pink, purple, and so on are quite popular, too, and not going to lie, a light pink looks really great in my eyes.
At the end of the day, it's my story and characters, so I could do whatever I like the most, but would it feel out of place?
