I didn't get an illustration of human Steph because she never was supposed to be with us for long.
Here she is again:
It was super hard to decide on her eyes and I went to all kinds of combinations...

I liked both ones a lot, especially the yellow alternative, but the blue one was slightly too boring and the yellow clashed with her hair too much. The pink looked nice, complimented her colors and matched Chloe~

I really loved the yellow eyes, but they made her look a little scary and again, it didn't really work with her color scheme.

I'm sure that some probably prefer a different version of her from the choices I had, but I am REALLY happy with what I went with!

I'll skip all the dog/fox references because I forgot where I put most of them myself, but let me show you some pictures with plushies that might look familiar:

It was really fun hiding them... I had done the same with Chloe, as well.

Anyway, I hope you like the new design of Steph. In a way, it's kinda simple, but she is sooo darn adorable that I will accept no complaints about anything regarding her design. People often say it's okay to be wrong or have their own opinion, but in this case, that's simply not the truth.

Totally fair. I also really like the darker version, but I preferred the lighter on in the end just a little bit more because it better fits to what I had in mind for her.

2023-01-07 12:08:33 +0000 UTCThat's a good point, it would take some extra work to keep the pop with more detail in it. But really, I love her pink eye most of all, and the symbolism of it. The hair color just isn't my thing, but w/e, I'm not the center of the universe, lol.

Also, it might also be because it's a sketch/flat color. The highlights in the sketch with the lightest color also are more distinct compared to the fully detailed and shaded final illustration.

2023-01-07 10:34:23 +0000 UTCI personally love the darkest hair on Steph. It really makes the violet highlights near the tips POP. Unfortunately that effect is lost with the chosen hair, it's too bright everywhere for that. Still she's hella cute, so that's fine. XD

Some even thought that the plushie in the picnic one is a tease for Fen/Aura later on. "also steph looks adorable" Yup. "and yet I somehow expected her to become a dog girl" Really? Most were guessing some sort of fox for her, as well. It does make sense. Maya/Sophia. Different, but both are feline. The same goes for Anna/Ari. "not to mention, that I just knew that if steph joins the gang, she will turn herself into a beast girl permanently" Well, that really was obvious xD
