Here is the time-lapse speedpaint for Patrons🖌️ with music for: Assassin's Blade

This piece was a fun one that I felt flowed pretty smoothly. As I mentioned, I am finally reading through the Throne of Glass series, and am smack dab in the middle of it right now (book 5!). So it was time to draw Aelin/Celaena!

Part way through the process, you may notice one of her hands+line art for the sword pop into the canvas. Sometimes when I need to take and use reference for something like hands, or even when I want to draw something like an object or a pattern, I will draw that on a separate canvas so that I can focus solely on that item and then I will copy it over to my main canvas. So that's what went on here! I took some reference of my own hand holding a sword, did a loose drawover and then brought the lineart onto the main canvas.

Upcoming Tutorial: Cloth and Clothing: Drawing outfits in different poses (standing, sitting, motion I'm in the middle of working on this upcoming tutorial right now, which is part of the reason things are a little quiet over here! I'm busily trying to finish it before I need to fly back to Sweden mid month to wrap up the sale of my apartment over there! Ahhhhh!
