I am home and FINALLY done moving! Ahhh! So here's a little fairy portrait to welcome in March! I drew this on the plane!
Honestly, I was so busy the past couple of weeks clearing out my apartment that I didn't get much time to do any artwork. Once everything was finally done and I was on the long flight back, I decided to jump back in with something simple and within my comfort zone!
When you have to take time off of something like drawing or any creative skill, I think that one of the best ways to ease back into it is to start with something that you consider pretty simple and within your comfort zone. You need something that will help you warm up the skill again and also something that will give you a little win to boost your motivation. After a couple weeks or more of not being able to draw, if I tried jumping into a big, elaborate piece, that could be overwhelming and disheartening if it doesn't go well because I'm so rusty!
Anyhoo, I like how she turned out, and even though I didn't follow a specific prompt, I think she is appropriate for March of the Faeries! I hope you like her too!
