✨New Art//Heart of the Damned

I am SO excited to share this piece with you! This is a piece for the upcoming book: HEART OF THE DAMNED by Julia Pauss! My beautiful German-speaking patrons, this one is for you! haha! An independent German publisher reached out to me a few months ago for this commission, and it was such a fun one!

I wish I could read the book! Maybe someday it will be translated!

Here's some info about the book if you are curious. The first is a google translation, and the 2nd is the original German.

In the kingdom of Lethia, which is threatened by demons, shape-shifter Scarlett keeps herself afloat by stealing. When she is caught breaking into the royal chambers, her fate seems sealed. But that very night, the king's fiancée is murdered, and instead of having Scarlett executed, King Ren offers her a deal: She can live if she uses her magic to slip into the role of his future wife. As darkness falls over Lethia, the two become dangerously close. But Ren is keeping a dark secret. And a thief cannot afford to lose her heart.  

In dem von Dämonen bedrohten Königreich Lethia hält sich Gestaltwandlerin Scarlett mit Diebstählen über Wasser. Als sie bei einem Einbruch in die königlichen Gemächer erwischt wird, scheint ihr Schicksal besiegelt. Doch ausgerechnet in jener Nacht wird die Verlobte des Königs ermordet, und statt Scarlett hinrichten zu lassen, bietet König Ren ihr einen Deal an: Sie darf leben, wenn sie mithilfe ihrer Magie in die Rolle seiner künftigen Ehefrau schlüpft. Während die Dunkelheit über Lethia aufzieht, kommen sich die beiden gefährlich nahe. Doch Ren hütet ein finsteres Geheimnis. Und eine Diebin kann es sich nicht erlauben, ihr Herz zu verlieren.
