So it's been a frustratingly long bit since I've had anything for you. ...and I say frustrating because I've really really wanted to write, but had a lot of things get in the way recently. Some of those were good (I finally got a couple of surgery things done that I've been trying to get for years! My girlfriend came to visit for a couple of weeks!) and some were bad (A leak from the apartment above mine destroyed my furnace and I've been fighting with insurance to pay for it!). But basically: it's been busy. Aaand though I'm at a point now where things are stabilizing and I have more opportunity to write, I'm having a really difficult time getting back into the swing of things. Figures.
I've got 1700 words on the next chapter of Teenage Dirtbag, but there's probably a thousand still to write before it's done, and I'm feeling kind of dissatisfied with it, so I'm going to need to chew on it a bit more. (Or eventually give up and push through). I really hope to have that for you as soon as I can.
I've contemplated pausing my patreon for another month, but part of the problem with that is that whenever I do, no one new can sign up, and once a month or so someone stops by who read some of my stuff on scribblehub and wants to pledge to read the rest that's available here. And if it's closed, they're stuck unable to do so. So for the time being I'm going to keep it going... with the expectation that I'll have you a chapter by the end of the month.
I keep seriously hoping that I'll hit a breakthrough point and write a bunch, because that's often how I work, but it's difficult to count on. Bleh.
