Important update & various ancient inks

UPDATE.

My shoulder hurts. I need to get it looked at by a doctor, but I've been denied to even apply for reduced health insurance rates due to poverty until December.  (regular rates being beyond unaffordable for me). I can't get a straight answer as to why. 

So, this means I can't art. At least, not much. I even tried drawing wrong handed for a few days, but that still makes the dominant hand's shoulder hurt. Something about the hunching doesn't help. In the meantime I'm going to be doing everything I can do to encourage healing. Ergonomics, eat healthy, exercise, healthy sleep habits, etc. Art is my life and I have to do it. This is not me being burned out. I want to do more. I have this patreon, a second patreon, convention art work, convention prep work, regular commissions, friend commissions and private studies that I have been doing for years. This is my body telling me to treat it better and I will so I can keep doing art. 

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR PATRONS?

Starting the end of the month I am suspending the patreon for the month of November. All the posts will stay up, but patrons will not be charged and there will be very limited posting all of November (barring miraculous healing). 

WHAT ABOUT DECEMBER?

If all goes well and as I expect, my shoulder should be up to slower arts starting in December. I expect the lack of 12-16 hour days will mean for a significant change in my art style in order to speed things up and keep them ergonomic. Regardless of what happens I need to start keeping regular work hours and limit myself to 6 days a week instead of 7. The time away this last week has also allowed me to figure out my priorities, so expect to see more 'product' art like dakis, woodcuts, metal pins, etc for the helping of making rent. I also expect to be slower, working on multiple projects at once, and sharing works in progress. In general this should increase quality as I'll be able to take time away from one piece to come back to it with fresh eyes later, and spend time on pieces that require it instead of rushing to finish on a nigh daily basis. 

If all doesn't go well?

If my shoulder problem persists I'll have to do things more on the keyboard. I'll start doing 3d. And animation. Stuff with less tablet drawing but equal amounts of art. Heck, I plan on dabbling there anyways. 

WHAT IF VIW'S HANDS GET CHOPPED OFF!

Bad news time, so.... my family medical history is unhealthy for the nervous system, that thing that produces fine motor control needed for the doing of art. At the end of the day if I can't do any art anymore due to physical impairment then I'll write stories. Short, long, doesn't matter. I like to make things, and if I'm squatting in a friend's closet subsisting on rice and beans that's enough as long as I can make things. 

I really appreciate all of y'alls support and I will be making the pins and DM you individually on pin preferences in time. Some of the art is done for this (like freya and ponies) and just need graphic design tweaks and some art needs to be started. 

Hopefully this is all temporary, caused by some unknown muscle strain or something, and I can get back to full strength soon, but I like to prepare for the worst, so here it is.
