Everything you've seen so far will come back alot later but the next arc is where the main story begins :) I can't answer any of your questions cus it will spoil :P Oh and the third Hokage is one of the five Kage's. The hidden leaf village Naruto's home Konoha is in the land of Fire. There is some symbolism between leaves and fire that gets explained later. There are some lands that don't have hidden ninja villages like the land of Waves where they are going.
