That's actually a very good point because children are the future of the world. I do really enjoy Ernst as a character he has such a good heart and he tends to be a moral compass if you ask me. He's a leader of a such high caliber and doesn't brush things under the rug he tries to give true justice. Respect!

2023-02-03 22:45:49 +0000 UTCThe thing with Ernst is he embodies the ideals of his nation and believes that's how humanity should be. You could say he's a fanatic idealist because he literally means what he says. So if his people were to ever betray those ideals, he's backing that claim. It goes back to what he said in the first episode when Theo was suggesting to kill them. If humanity can't survive except by killing children they think is ' strange', humanity would be better off dead.
