Added 2024-01-20 00:15:30 +0000 UTCI already like Starks brother and he's only been in 1/10 of an episode lol Frieren's way of character writing and story is so amazing 10/10 series right here I am always more impressed episode by episode.

This episode finally gives us the truth why he is a "coward", it stems from what his brother told him. He said run and that has been something he has kept as advice from his big brother. Stark trained hard every day being a failure and his fear becomes his greatest strength as he doubts himself but when he overcomes his fear, he is quite possibly the strongest warrior on the planet from what Eisen has said. If you think about it, Starks fear is his limiter, if he didn't have his fear he wouldn't control his strength properly. The little details and character hints we get in this episode about Stark answers every question you have with him and why he is the way he is. He was born a kind person, given the strength to fight by Eisen, and given the will to live by his Brother. Frieren never stops being good and is a massive influence to my current Webnovel and how I should expand and explore character's and their back stories. Love this anime so much.
