Obsessive topics in my art

I drew even more duck stuff but I've elected to not post it just yet because I want to gage the general additudes of those following me and explain how I typically iterate on characters.

You see, when I create a character my mind will race to put them through lots of different senarios and permutations until that character is firmly solidified in my rouges gallery of monsters.

That is to say, when I draw something new, I'm compelled to keep drawing that thing again and again. 

Those of you who knew me on Furaffinity from way back when may recal that when I introduced Ariana to the stage, the He/She Jekyll and Hyde was quite a different creature, and it took me several interations before I was finally satisfied with what I had cooked up.

And I too followed this same pattern with Zoey, O'hare, and Vouge. Very weird characters that while being quite hit-or-miss were continously worked at until I was happy with them.

• Ariana went from a 80's aerobics bitch, to a genderswaping frog slut.
• Zoey went from green trashbag sludge to a scientific marvel of thiccness.
• O'hare went from a waifish old woman to a fatter-than-life Ultra Villain.
• Vouge went from an offworld fashionista to an escaped galactive convict with a love of funk music and molestation.
• Even Gill went from the butt of many scat joke, to loving suportive boyfriend and former boxer!

This year I've come up with two new characters, Leopold and Carlita. And though the pink gay cat is worlds more popular, I keep finding myself drawing these bizzare fetish ducks when I'm inbetween work sessions at my computer. 

She's very easy for me to draw and senselessly indulgent. I don't have to really think that hard to put her on the canvase. Whereas Leopold is actually more difficult to draw, because feline facial anatomy confounds me and my more snout-centric art style.

To this end, I feel embarrased. On the one hand, the ease of drawing Carlita lends itself to me really wanting to dig in and do lots with the character. On the other, I fear that this may be me letting myself get lazy.

This is all my inner monolouge, but as patrons, you deserve to know what's going on. Because the last thing I want you to do is tip me for my creations, only to be dogpiled with lots of stuff you simply don't enjoy.

I posted that poll about sketches vs inks 2 weeks ago and only 4 of you bothered to touch it. So once again I have no real clue as to how you guys overall feel. And those I've asked this before simply canceled their support without any explaination as to why.

If they didn't want the added expense then that's fine, but if you ever take an issue with what I'm doing  then it's your right to speak up and tell me what it is.

And if you don't exercise that right, then february may be duck season.
