Transparency: I need to learn how to stream
Added 2017-05-24 04:28:07 +0000 UTCIts one of my Patreon goals but I haven't followed through with it yet because unbeknownst to you, that pledge number is not the amount of money receive but the amount of money I could receive.
Its common across all of patreon but I would say that 1 out of every 5 supporters I receive each month is a fraud bot that pledges only to take artwork to free and then leave me with nothing. There's no complaining over spilled milk, but this has the side effect of inflating the numbers to make it seem like I'm doing better than I actually am.
The totals pingpong whenever I factor out the fraud bots. So while I've tried to make sure I'm posting fresh art each week, actually following through on the streaming has fallen by the wayside. And I blame that in itself on me being lazy about it. It's far easier to for me to just start drawing without really thinking about it and then post the results when I'm done. But this isn't fair to the rest of you.
It won't be in time for this month, but I want to finally teach myself how streaming works so I can at least start to gain some experience with it.
