I didn't take much note of in the OG Japanese dup, was that he said he aims to seek something beyond strength. The obvious answer would be a god of Destruction but even then... I think it's clear Jiren is stronger than even his own Universes God of Destruction. Maybe, Just maybe, what he seeks... Is absolute security...Safety, being able to be at a point where he never has to worry about anything or losing anyone or feeling uncertain about anything. (Based on Said spoiler). But I mean, at that point he's basically aiming for Zeno level of Power. Right?

2025-03-22 00:42:51 +0000 UTCI saw some people in chat claiming this episode was drawn by someone from the Z era. No it wasn’t. Takahashi’s first DB work was Battle of Gods. There’s Shida, who directed this episode and actually worked on Z, but his artstyle was absent this episode apart from 3 small scenes. Besides, the DBS artstyle comes from Yamamuro, and a lot of the animation comes from Naoki Tate, both of whom worked on Z. Just because someone worked on Z doesn’t mean their artstyle still looks like that nowadays, and just because something looks like the Z artstyle doesn’t mean it’s drawn by someone from that era. It goes both ways. Most of the DBS crew are already returnees from the Z crew.
