Added 2025-08-22 12:27:59 +0000 UTCPortia’s dad def did his best as a single divorced by 30 no concept on how to raise a girl and is at his core a girl dad. I think truly Portia’s best friend is her dad (with some bumps here and there) but he was also very important to Edwin growing up since Ed’s dad was working over seas regularly + both his parents came from strict households so they wanted to be more lax but Edwin was kinda a menace. Having someone that would taunt him back was good for him 🙂↕️ obvi later on Ed’s parents find the perfect happy medium but Charlie is a constant as the friendly neighborhood fellow dad. Charlie also want to hang out with Portia and is a diva so he prob tags along most places to gossip.
Edwin as a dad I imagine is more aloof, like Charlie has to be banished cause he’d always want to be around and Portia would be like GO HOME, vs Edwin loves his kids but also will be like ‘i want to be alone rn’ brutally honest parent who’s tryna hang out with his wife, which just makes his kids want to hang out with him more cause he’s funny and they like to push his buttons. his kids are prob bigger than him so he has to aura max, and vacations include Edwin planning activities for the kids so they leave them alone so he can ‘hang out’ with mom, aka Portia and Edwin hiding from their kids eating sweets or smoking, they need a minute.
