Having a bit of fun with the software I use for writing at present. I've used an online version for a while so I don't have to worry about backing up (so I thought), and so I can get the documents from various locations. Except it's barfed and has overwritten, some chapters that were in progress with other chapters that were also in progress.
Got to love auto-save features, unless it saves overtop of stuff you didn't want it to.
Currently appears like I've lost some chapter content unless their support people can recover it, but they don't work on weekends. This is fair since everyone like their weekends except I like to spend my weekend writing, and now I've got my stomach spinning in knots hoping I've not lost a bunch of work.
While I have segments of it and know how things went, it's all the tweaks adjustments and words flowing at 2 am.

I didn't want to mention it by name as it's been fine until now, and likely I should have taken time to read their FAQ as in there it encourages authors to export frequently (things you don't go looking for until you hit an issue). It's not Word, it's a grammar software for authors.

2022-05-07 00:50:03 +0000 UTCWhat software are you using? OneDrive has a 'Previous Versions' feature, but it doesn't sound like what you're using. No one in their right mind would use the online version of Word...
