Hello!
This is my most recent choreography I’ve been working on. Much slow, many flow, wow.
The first two spins are tilt a whirl spins, one of them sinking down, and the other one lifting up. They each have stylizations on them but bottom line is they are a nice simple tilt a whirl, do what you want with them leg wise, though I recommend keeping the level changes as it makes the combo dynamic.
Coming out of the second tilt a whirl, you reach back and draw a giant circle with your left leg. Keep going until your butt hits the pole. Look over your left shoulder, it makes the spiral line real nice. I wasn’t super clean in my legs after that but ultimately you come into a Princess grip and do a little click and leg part, a hair toss, then move yourself into a shoulder mount grip and body wave your way down the pole.
You can either do a shoulder mount flip as in the video, or you can come down to the pole, lift your legs to the sky, draw a circle and bring them down until you’re on your side, and get yourself into position for the twisted grip diamond spin at the base.
In that diamond leg turn, you come down onto your left leg but not your right- allow the moment of “falling forward” to pull your body around the pole and extend that spin.
There are a lot of ways you can modify the rest of the choreography! Don’t feel limited to what I am doing- if something isn’t working for you, do something else. No one gets mad at body rolls or taking nice little poses and spending time doing hair flips!
Happy swirling! And let me know if you get stuck on anything or want a modification.
The song is Hell Is Round The Corner by Tricky.
