AHi guys and gals, this post offers you a collection of news about the next full version of Holiday Island (0.2.0 beta) and the smaller updates towards it.

There will be smaller, more frequent content updates, called content addons. They will include bug fixes and new content as well.
The change log below is based on the beta 0.1.9.0 release.

The next release is 0.2.0 beta which will be a full update.
It will include a lot of new features and some bug fixes as well.

As of right now, the update from 0.1.9.0 to 0.2.0 has:

New features and content

Amy will get a new sexy appointment that will conclude her max love /affection quest line (the MC stays the night) --> will be added with 0.2.0
Amy will get her missing max love quest to conclude her max love/affection quest line --> will be added with 0.2.0
Amy will get several scenes in her room as part of her max love/affection quest line --> will be added with 0.2.0
Amy will get an extended new arrival scene as part of her max love/affection quest line --> will be added with 0.2.0
Amy will get a scene at the MC's door, where she says goodbye and leaves for her breast implants removal at Joy's lab --> will be added with 0.2.0
Amy gets an event at the MC's door to start the max love level 5 quest line --> will be added with 0.2.0
Joy gets a new office appointment where she hands out further mini quests for the girls --> will be added with 0.2.0
Eva will get an appointment where she poses for you in a sexy lingerie at the studio as part of Joy's mini quests --> will be added with 0.2.0

Minor improvements and changes

The app to change the pictures on the wall gets the "triple frame" button activated. You can also cycle left right now, meaning a "left arrow click" at picture 1 will show the last picture --> will be added with 0.2.0
The last selected "action group" (intimate actions or location specific actions) will stay active when switching from one girl to another and also when you change locations. This will reduce unnecessary "clicking" --> will be added with 0.2.0
Aly, Ivy, Heather and Jessica will be able to send invites for meetings (posing) at the pool --> will be added with 0.2.0
A short message (similar to a strength check information) is displayed whenver you got a new achievement for a girl --> will be added with 0.2.0
Amy's private workout appointments get some language corrections --> will be added with 0.2.0
Amy gets three new achievements (with a replay button) for the private workouts. The scenes were already part of her max stats quests, but the achievements were missing. --> will be added with 0.2.0
Correction of spelling erros and grammar fixes --> added with 0.1.9.1
Aly, Eva, Faye, Renée, Desire and Delizia will get image upgrades for their "follow me" renders where they look ove rtheir shoulder --> added with 0.1.9.1
You will have 4 game resoluztion options: "manual resize", 1280x720, 1920x1080, 2560x1440 if your screen has a high enough resolution --> added with 0.1.9.1
An additional button to show the watch no longer permanently is available --> added with 0.1.9.1

Bug fixes

Room service event (when you open the door) has some left over code from debugging. Background image could be missing, or some strange text "bla..." is shown --> will be fixed with 0.2.0
When using the old UI, the crash " AttributeError: 'cl_player' object has no attribute 'phone_image' " could occur --> fixed with 0.1.9.1
Resolution change option makes the game unplayable on some systems --> a workaround to disable it provided with 0.1.9.1
Some images were scaled wrong in achievements, give present and grope --> fixed with 0.1.9.1
You could not get the quest for Yumiko's sub dermal encryption code --> fixed with 0.1.9.1

Is the update going to break save games?:
0.1.9.1 beta --> Save games from 0.0.8 and later can still be used. Earlier saves are no longer supported.
0.2.0 beta --> same as for 0.1.9.1 beta

I think the three additions I'm looking forward to the most: - Brenda gets an extended workout weight lifting scene (I always love new content for Brenda) - Jessica gets an extended pool sunlotion scene with 3 achievements (the pool is a great location) - Miriam can participate in the wet t shirt contest now (I hadn't even considered adding to the wet t-shirt crew! Maybe Yumiko is next? Or maybe ... Joy?)

Lol, it looks worse than it is now. It's mainly one scene that has to be done. the other two can't be finished without it. My estimation is that there are about 30 renders left to do, maybe 40.

I'm sure you have many exciting ideas for future versions, but I still thought I'd present my own "wish list" :) - an option for Intimate Option > grope butt - more ladies doing some late night swimming - option to join the ladies in the shower in their room when they accidentally leave their door open - When the ladies are playing quarters during Hot shots, overshoot into Yumoko's cleavage and have an interesting way for her to retrieve the quarter

This is the check: if g_poker_game.marked_cards == True and char1.get_appointment_seen_times("Poker") >= 2 and char1.get_appointment_seen("Poker_win") == True and renpy.random.randint(1,100) >= 60: g_poker_game.marked_cards = False So what does it mean. The game doesn't check if you used the marked deck of cards for a girl already. It's not important, since the girl doesn't know about it. If you played more than 2 times against a girl and you won at least once, there is a 40% chance the girl wants to change the deck.

I made my marked deck and played poker with Eva. Everything was fine, but then the first time I used it to play poker with Aly, she brings her own deck. I thought that we were supposed to get to play with the cheater deck with a girl before she had a chance to catch on and bring her own deck.

Sunset walk on the beach is a great idea! I love that the beach is becoming an expanded location for yoga, posing, tower, etc. How about a morning run on the beach with Amy or Jennifer? This way we could see all the locations as we run past.

You could add Alice to the Topless yoga class you already have and change the name to Intermediate Topless Yoga. Then you could have an Advanced Topless Yoga class at 9am on Tues. and Fri, for five girls who are more advanced than the others, say: Faye, Yvette, Jessica, and Heather. and Aly. (Alternately, this could be known as the huge boob class.) A beginners Topless Yoga class could be added later at 9am on Wed. and Sat. for: Eva, Renee, Natasha, Ivy and Lacey. This would allow the PC to see the most topless girls doing yoga in one week. This would allow for a variety of poses without changing another group. If you don't like that the groups have 5 members each, the groups could be rearranged with a special group meeting at 9am on Sunday with Miriam as the teacher. While I think this is a good fix for the overcrowding of yoga classes, it would mean that in order not to disrupt Jennifer's gym training schedule, Topless yoga might have to be moved to after lunch, say at 1pm.

Maybe you fixed this already. When I relax at the pool and Yvette straddles me, if I tease her about her size, she reacts as if we are alone, even though we aren't. If you compliment her, she doesn't do anything sexy, asif we weren't alone. Is this a bug? Maybe the hint that you have to be alone with her is wrong. She does say we are alone if she gets you off however.

For the future, Amy says that every girl has a job to do besides reception, but some girls don't. I'd like to see more girls visit your room for a sexy scene. We are missing: Aly, Eva, and Ivy. Of these, I'd really like to see Aly and Eva in a maid's outfit. Eva is so manipulative, maybe she gets the PC to do the job for her. In the restaurant, the other girls could even complain about the lousy job Eva does cleaning, wondering if she does anything but snoop around their rooms. Maybe if Eva is left alone in your room, she resets the pictures in your frames with shots of her. Ivy would probably be better for massage. Maybe Joy could give you a quest to buy Ivy a sexy maid outfit since they don't have one that fits her. When you buy one for Ivy, she is added to the housekeeping roster.

I don't like to cheat out of game, but sometimes you have to. There isn't any other way to learn a girl's age except to keep reloading during Hotshots. It might be possible to make a little change so that you could cheat in game to get this information. While you are with Yumiko for the 30 minutes it takes for the girl to change her outfit, you could ask her to rig the wheel and the question because she owes you a favor. Say you are about to play Hotshots with Brenda. While you are waiting for her, the PC says to Yumiko: Could you tell me Brenda's age? Yumiko: I know, but I can't tell you. PC: You owe me a favor, though. Yumiko: Alright, I'll volunteer to spin the wheel for you, and for 25 favor, I'll rig the first spin and ask you how old she is. If you guess correctly, then you'll know. Do you agree? Options Given: I agree, I'll figure it out myself. If the PC agrees, the first wheel spin is personal question and the question is "How old is Brenda?" Other options could be added to tell things that the PC wants to know, but age is the one thing everyone needs to know.

Since we're getting the topless images for the winners of the Wet T-shirt contest, can these images be added to the Wet T-shirt Contestant Achievement? These images may be difficult to handle, so perhaps an achievement should be added for Wet T-shirt Contest Winner. This might actually be better since it would make the player give a gold trophy to each girl. If this is satisfactory, maybe you can do the same thing with the Best Butt contest. This would also add 3 achievements to each girl. While that doesn't mean much to Yvette, it would help the third tier girls a lot.

Well, it wasn't really broken, but I have changed the logic completely. Including the variable send time. Yes there was a bug the prevented any sexting from category 5 (context related) to be send. Right now it's only Joy who's using that in this spot. All other category 5 sexts are send directly from a scene or event, so only Joy is affected. I have corrected this now. Joy's basic logic is still the old one, meaning she will send the images multiple times. I have increased the cooldown to 10 days for now. I don't know. Maybe the girls should send the sexts a second (or even third time) if all of a categroy (or lower category) have already been sent at least once. Maybe with a lower percentage or a longer cooldown period. What do you think about the last one?

I think that you fixed the sexting. Now the girls send the sext once and that's it. The way is clear for you to add a lot more sexts if you want. I also like that I'm getting sexts late at night when a girl's inhibitions are lower from having a few drinks. The changes you made may have effected Joy's sexts. It doesn't seem like she sends them anymore. I restarted the game and haven't gotten her two sexts yet. I did get the hot tub sext. Others may not have reported anything wrong because they got them in 1.9.0, and when 1.9.1 came out and Joy's sexts stopped, they didn't think it was a problem but a fix.

I really like the new quest of working out with a girl 6 times in a week to get Hack 1. However, it isn't possible to do this for the special girls. Someone said they got this quest for Jennifer, but I don't think it's possible. Also, it seems like it's rare to get this quest. Maybe it would be better to make the assigned quest random. so that you couldn't plan ahead. Until I have all hacks, I always carry about 6 (eh) vials to do the assigned quest immediately. Also, you could add more new quests if people like the variety.

I love what you are adding to the poker game scenes! I want to see Miriam and Mercedes play poker, too. Maybe they can be the first girls to play in the new player room. That way, in order to get them to play, you have to first unlock the new player room. Also, maybe after all of the girls have their Hotshots scenes, you can add them playing poker in the new room in their Hotshots outfits. This would also have to be unlocked with the new player room and seeing a girl's hot scene. Of course, Yvette wouldn't have to dye her hair, but I wouldn't mind it.

I like the Amy Quests and hope to see the system implimented for the other girls. However, Amy's quests are rigidly linear. This is a bit of a departure from the sandbox feel. I'd like to see these events happen more organically rather than being on rails. Maybe allow some of the other things you do with Amy also raise her stats. Maybe if all of her achievements were grouped into tiers. I use the word tier as shorthand for what you already have in place in how much affection, love and lust is needed for Amy to pass a check. By capping her stats, the PC would have to progress through the tiers, but whenever they occur and not need to catch her at just the right moment to get the next step. Tier 1 would be exercising, walking on the beach, joining her on the sunbed, etc. and fulfill step one of the quest. Tier 2 could be the private workouts, getting her shakes, buying the new swimsuit, buying the new lingrie. Tier 3 would be sexier things like posing topless or in lingerie. Tier 4 would be for her making you cum with a BJ after weightlifting, footjob after dinner, abs sex on the beach. Tier 5 would be for sex, like after dinner or drinks or after shower. After a set number of Tier 5 events, her stats could max out, and you could catch the other events as they come. The benefit would be that for girls like Aly, Heather, Jessica and Yvette, the new system could be easily implimented with achievements they already have.

I like the new phone detailing endurance and strength training points. It might be better to also include empty vials, too. I would say to arrange it: Mast 0/6, Meals 3, Weekly Endurance Sessions 3, Endurance Training Points, Weekly Strength Sessions 3, Strength Training Points, Charm Training Points, Hacking Training Points, Looks Training Points. I can see that you want to keep training points together, but I think it's better to have what you are working on grouped together. Even so, If you list Weekly Endurance before Weekly Strength, that should carry through for the points as well. Currently the Strength Training Points is listed before the Endurance Training Points.

I like the Follow Me images, but there are technical issues which make them hard to add to the Special Achievement. They don't really warrant their own achievement, but I'd still like to see them in the phone to add to the frames in the new player room. Instead could you add them as a single frame to other achievements? For instance, 1 could have a beach background and be added to the Take a closer look at her while you walk on the beach achievement. The next one could have the bench press background and be added to the weightlifting achievement. The last one could have the pull-ups backgrround and be added to that achievement. Just an idea, but of course, don't let it delay the 1.9.1 release. I'm still hoping for a X-mas present.

Brenda already has all the reception images. There won't be any more flash actions. I already did them when possible. Some dresses and tops just don't work with flashing. There are a lot more basic actions. Doing all of them for all girls would be several hundreds of images.

If you are going to go to 2.0, then we should see a 1.9.2 which includes Lacey's Sperm Congestion, Brenda's reception actions, and pecs, weightlifting and pull-ups for all girls. Also, every girl should have one of each sexting type. This needn't be true for the special girls as well, but Joy could really use more sexts than her two. This would give every girl all of the basic actions and scenes and finish off version 1.x.x. I don't know if it's too much to ask, but I'd like to see every girl get a flash action for every outfit, or maybe just all of the dresses. I'm tired of getting the too complicated excuse at the restaurant.

I think you got my numbering a little confused :D The bug fix for 0.1.10 would be 0.1.10.1, but I can understand what you mean. Maybe it really is time to move on to 0.2.0

I think it would be better to go to 0.2.0.0 instead of 0.1.10. My reasoning is that HI has come along way since its initial release way back when and now Wilson's mod (or parts of it) is going to be incorporated into the game. Throw in the new balancing and everything else, and well 0.2.0.0 just seems a better indicator than 0.1.10. If you plan to stick with the four digit format, then 0.2.0.1 seems better than 0.1.11 when you try to release new updates or bugfixes.

Lol, it looks worse than it is now. It's mainly one scene that has to be done. the other two can't be finished without it. My estimation is that there are about 30 renders left to do, maybe 40.

Brianiac, You can already overshoot the quarter into Yumoko's cleavage during hotshots. I have only done it once, but i know it as possible. The rest of your wishlist though... (drool)

I made my marked deck and played poker with Eva. Everything was fine, but then the first time I used it to play poker with Aly, she brings her own deck. I thought that we were supposed to get to play with the cheater deck with a girl before she had a chance to catch on and bring her own deck.

Another point: Is there any reason to have topless yoga before the PC gets the new room? Could you just have the receptionist mention it when Jennifer does the tour of the new room and have topless yoga start from then on? Just asking.

Sunset walk on the beach is a great idea! I love that the beach is becoming an expanded location for yoga, posing, tower, etc. How about a morning run on the beach with Amy or Jennifer? This way we could see all the locations as we run past.

It's possible to get Eva's "Get me a Coke" scene before Yumiko arrives on the island. Thus, you see Yumiko atthe beach bar before she arrives.

It's already fixed. Jessica will get a new maid scene with high res renders in the next update as well, so it will change and be rewritten.

Checking the code, I can't see anything wrong with it.

I think you've fixed this already, but I figured I'd better report it just in case. When Jessica comes to your door as the maid, the background image is there for a second and then disappears to be replaced by the checkerboard.

All girls have it. It's 55 hours for actually playing poker and 15 hours for aksing when she declines. Renée has that too.

It was only the image with her special bikini. The hair was posed differently (for whatever reason). I have fixed it. Will be part of the next update.

I haven't nailed down exactly when this occurs, but sometimes Heather will say we aren't alone at the pool even though I've sent the other girls away.

Renee doesn't seem to have the cooldown period for poker. Maybe she just likes to strip and doesn't have it, or maybe you got rid of the cooldown period for poker.

When you give Amy a present, her hair is cut off due to the way the image is handled. I have only tried the special bikini, but I suspect it's true for all gift giving images.

Apparently theree's a technical reason these images can't be used, and it's not a new development. I was delusional.

Didn't we used to be abie to use the Flash/Grope Images from the Special Achievement for the picture frames in the new player room? They are gone from my phone now. Is this part of having the doctor images in there? Or am I just delusional and this was never available?

Maybe we could get a visit to Renee's room after she had a shower?

You probably missed something. For this version max love is 75 and max affection 100 if you did all of Amy's new missions.

Unfortunately it's not possible, because images for one achievement have to be in the same folder and have to use the same name (except for a number or a small change).

Brenda already has all the reception images. There won't be any more flash actions. I already did them when possible. Some dresses and tops just don't work with flashing. There are a lot more basic actions. Doing all of them for all girls would be several hundreds of images.

I'll be glad to see 1.9.1 for Christmas!

I think you got my numbering a little confused :D The bug fix for 0.1.10 would be 0.1.10.1, but I can understand what you mean. Maybe it really is time to move on to 0.2.0
