In the 90s, “Zed’s dead baby… Zed’s Dead” was definitely a common quote. Maybe it’s time for a comeback. ;-) Note… Rosanna Arquette, who played Lance’s wife, Jody, is the older sister of Patricia Arquette. Also the older sister of David Arquette and Alexis Arquette. Alexis is who played the guy who fired and miraculously missed Vincent and Jules. For some more Rosanna Arquette, I’ll recommend… Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), also starring Madonna and Aidan Quinn. The Whole Nine Yards (2000), also starring Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis. Another interesting note… Lance was played by Eric Stoltz, who was originally cast as Marty McFly in Back to the Future. They filmed for a few weeks with Eric Stoltz in the role, before Spielberg realized something wasn’t right and decided to replace him, with Michael J. Fox. Nothing against Stoltz. His take on the role was just different than what the filmmakers were expecting. For more Eric Stoltz, I’ll recommend… Some Kind of Wonderful (1987)… written by John Hughes, and also starring Lea Thompson and Mary Stuart Masterson. 2 Days in the Valley (1996)… another Crime Film with an All-Star cast. I’m hoping Jackie Brown (1997) is on the schedule, if Nicolette hasn’t already seen it. Pam Grier was mentioned in Reservoir Dogs, and She didn’t flinch. So, maybe? I rank Jackie Brown in his Top 3. There’s also some Tarantino films that he didn’t solely direct, but instead were collaborations that he either wrote or produced, that are worth checking out… True Romance (1993)… written by Tarantino, directed by Tony Scott, with another All-Star cast, including Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette. Four Rooms (1995)… Collab with 3 other writers and directors, including Robert Rodriguez, and starring Tim Roth. From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)… written by Tarantino, directed by Robert Rodriguez, and starring George Clooney, Juliette Lewis and Harvey Keitel.

Nicololette, you watching this got me to resubscribe to the Patreon. What a joy to re-experience this with you. As far as suggestions for movies I'd love for you to react to after this, they're kinda connected. Pulp Fiction was such a massive culture phenomenon when it came out, the industry basically tried everything they could to emulate it. One of my favorites that felt like its own very specific thing was Grosse Pointe Blank, a rom-com with John Cusack playing a hitman going to his high school reunion. Next, I believe Tarantino got Danny DeVito to option a bunch of Elmore Leonard novels to adapt into films(QT is very vocal about the fact that he is mostly just trying to emulate Leonard's dialogue and characterizations in his own work). One of the best of these is Travolta's spiritual follow-up to this, Get Shorty, where he plays a gangster who wants to be in the movie business. Lastly is, in my opinion, the best film adaptation of Elmore Leonard's work, Out Of Sight. It stars George Clooney as a bank robber and Jennifer Lopez(with an Oscar-worthy performance!) as a federal marshal trying to...get him.
