It looked like Jordan had his eyes closed at just the wrong moment to miss Ritsu's line, "I've obtained loss." at 1:03:45. I love this exploration of someone who gives up on their ideals because they have developed a complex at the foundation of their belief system, and in doing so is able to harness the imitation of true power. Ritsu says he wont judge the other schools' delinquents because he understands that those who stray from the right path typically do so for no particular reason. He gives up on his previous world view's efforts and gives into nihilism. Its sad, and often times relatable, but its also clear from the outside that it is such an unnecessary path to follow. But to the one who has placed all of their worth on something they are unable to obtain, nihilism seems like the only available option. And this is why Reigen is my GOAT, specifically his convo with young Mob regarding his psychic abilities not making him any more special than someone who can run fast, or than someone who can draw well. Your evaluation of both your and others worths shouldn't be so abstract that a random inherent skill can put ones life over another's. We all deserve to feel self worth. It can be H A R D sometimes, but the only way to gain that self worth is through accepting who you are and removing the preconceived notions that society reinforces are worthy.
